The mission of our Hospitality and Tourism Research Department is to provide innovative tourism assistance to communities, development organizations, agencies, and businesses. We advocate for the tourism industry, focusing on tourism-related issues, providing credible data, and promoting the industry as a globally viable economic development strategy.
Winschoten University of Applied Management’s Hospitality and Tourism Management program includes the important industries of hotel, restaurant, event and tourism management as well as the emerging industries of guest services and entertainment.
Industry growth creates a demand for people specialized in hospitality and tourism management who have combined education with practical work experience. As part of our program, students complete an internship with a hospitality and tourism related industry employer.

The Hospitality and Tourism center is dedicated to working on applicable, impactful research that supports the advancement of tourism economy as well as supporting the growth of global tourism sector.
Our Hospitality and Tourism Research Center works in collaboration with industry professionals, scholars, organizations and stakeholders across the areas of Research, and Training which leads to innovative, and timely research to respond to industry needs. Training analyzes tourism trends and develops sustainable strategies for success by providing knowledge and skills through dynamic workshops, certificates and courses.
